Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 28 August - BLURB

Greetings all!  Allen here again covering for Adam who was off to see the Black Keys in concert.

Cool evening weather made for a great atmosphere in our game this last week.  More importantly though was our cool crowd of people with eight teams in attendance vying for our first prize of $50 house cash.

The first half of play saw the house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal surge into a 5-point lead over My Personal Favorites and Wild Wicked Women.

In the second half Wild Wicked Women closed the gap with Wheel Deal Sex Appeal but were still 4 points adrift, while Wino Combo moved into third place.

The final question saw every team except for one bet the max and miss the final answer.  Ironically the one team that bet zero also had their final answer correct but still finished with the win.  Congrats to the Wild Wicked Women and well played to all.

I'd like to take a moment to wish Joe and Anita of My Personal Favorites farewell.  They are soon to be moving on to their next big adventure and I as well as all of you I am sure certainly wish them the best!

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. But if you were in attendance, you know I'm referring to our big theme revolving around our Lunar friend. That's right, many questions dealing with the Moon (and some people with the surname Moon) were giving players a run for their money. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Entering the final question , Wheel Deal Sex Appeal held the top spot with 69 (nice) points. Wino Combo were right behind them with 67 points. ...

Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points. Followed as closely as you can get was  Why So Serious with 41 points. Wino Combo  was in third place with 39 points.
