Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 26 June 2025

Hello my Trivia friends,

🎇🎆🇺🇲PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: NO LET'S DO TRIVIA MATCH AT THE WHEELHOUSE NEXT WEEK THURSDAY JULY 3RD! It will be fireworks night in the Twin Beaches! 🎆🧨 If your heart desires, still come out on Thursday and party down before the fireworks shoot off. 🧨🎇🇺🇲 We will be back to our regularly scheduled game on Thursday July 10th. 

With that out of the way, let's recap last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse. We had an amazing turnout of players and teams that braved the heat and threat of storms. 49 players on 11 teams playing for the top prizes of $80 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash. A little reminder for everyone to bring more players out our get other friends to start a trivia team of their own, when we have over 50 players all together, we shift the $10 Wheelhouse cash prize down to third place and add $25 Wheelhouse cash to second place.

We were all Royalty on Thursday night as our questions sometimes centered on Kings, Queens, and other types of Regal subjects. The match was tough all over the place, both in the first and second half. I guess as a little gift, the halftime question about diamond categories was super helpful in the points earning as all teams earned at least 6 points. Coming out of halftime, the house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal with 40 points held a two point lead over Riot Penguins with 38 points. Why So Serious was one point behind in third place with 37 points.

The second half was difficult but our top teams remained unchanged as both Wheel Deal Sex Appeal and Riot Penguins doubled theri point total from the first half. The final question was a fun and interesting one in my opinion. You all had to order events in the movie Airplane from when they occured in the movie first 🛫 to last 🛬. After that question, Wheel Deal Sex Appeal held onto their lead by not wagering any points to finish in first place with 80 points. The singular team to answer the final correctly and wagering 20 points shot them into second place, Raven Lunatics climbed the board to earn $10 Wheelhouse Cash. With the house team finishing in first place, the top prize on July 10th will be $120 Wheelhouse cash and second place will earn $10 Wheel House cash.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points.
