Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 15 May 2025

Happy new week trivia players,

Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. But if you were in attendance, you know I'm referring to our big theme revolving around our Lunar friend. That's right, many questions dealing with the Moon (and some people with the surname Moon) were giving players a run for their money. Completely unplanned, the Moon theme fit as last Thursday was our first time of the season with the tent taken down. We had great weather for it. The crowd was light-ish with 27 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $40 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash.

Some of the questions with the Moon theme came easy to teams, others well... not so much. We saw a lower scoring first half and then we saw a brutal second half. Round five was tough for all which in a way kept the playing field level. No team got any question correct in Round 5. We did a do over on question 1 of that round which helped some teams. But with the do over out of the way, there was no saving the rest of the round. 

For a 3-point bonus on round 2 question 1, draw a blue moon.

Entering the final question, Wheel Deal Sex Appeal held the top spot with 64 points. Z-Team were a slightly distant second with 55 points. Third and fourth place were Raven Lunatics and Dickens Cider respectively. After all that Moon theme, the final question had basically nothing to do with that, but rather asked teams to place certain TV shows based on the geographic location of their setting from North to South. Only two teams answered the final question correctly and wagered enough to move around on the leaderboard. Dickens Cider and Wino Combo were the two teams to  answer correctly. Dickens Cider walked away with the top prize and Wino Combo took home second prize. Top prize this week is $40 Wheelhouse cash and second place will earn $10 Wheel House cash.

Win first place AND at least one member of your team arrives before 6pm, earn an extra $10. Listen to the setlist between 6pm and 6:30pm for an answer to a question in round 1. The Music Bonus original song was played last Thursday night at some point during our match...

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points. Followed as closely as you can get was  Why So Serious with 41 points. Wino Combo  was in third place with 39 points.
