Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 24 April 2025

Happy new week trivia friends!

Hope everyone had a great weekend and are able to get outside a little more without the pollen and allergies punching us right in the face. It's that time for a recap of this past Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden. We were a little lighter on the players and teams last week with 29 players on 9 teams playing for the top prizes of $130 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash.

My computer crashed between the end of the match and opening it to write this blurb, so everything today is from memory. Forgive me if I miss something.

For a 3-point bonus on round 2 question 1, draw a laptop.

The game was a lower scoring affair with not many teams consistently landing on correct answers throughout both the first and second half. One team held a commanding lead after the second half and before the final. Wino Combo held at least a 10 point lead over the second and third place teams, Wheel Deal Wild Wicked Sex Appeal, that were separated by 1 point. With no team answering the final question correctly, their zero point wager kept Wino Combo in first place. Arive before 6pm turned their top prize into $140 Wheelhouse Cash. Congratulations to them on a great game and awesome top prize. The house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal came in a very distant second place with below 50 points. That second place finish turns the top prize this week is $50 Wheelhouse cash and second place will earn $10 Wheel House cash.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points. Followed as closely as you can get was  Why So Serious with 41 points. Wino Combo  was in third place with 39 points.
