Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 6 March 2025

Hello Trivia faithful!

Well after a couple weeks away, I was thrilled to be on the mic with all you wonderful people. You truly are a treasure. 😉

Let's do a quick recap of last Thursday night's trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden. Maybe the wind kept our attendance low with 31 players on 7 teams. The house team, Wheel Deal Sex Appeal, were on a roll of finishing in first place while I was gone. That got the top prize up to $120 Wheel House Cash. As always, the second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash. 

As alluded to earlier, the theme for some of the evening's questions and answers dealt with treasure. Let's see how the game went to get that Wheelhouse booty.

Teams might not have been happy to see me back after the first half of the match. Questions were rather difficult with no team scoring more than 30 points before the halftime question. After the halftime questions, things were close at the top with  Brew Rouges in first place and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal as well as Riot Penguins all jockeying for the top spot.

Many teams found better fortune in the second half as point totals increased all around. Going into the final question, those same three teams that were near the top after halftime were ALL TIED with 73 points each. How would thing s shake down after the final question. Well, Riot Penguins were one of the only teams to get the correct answer and wager 20 points. That gave them the victory on the evening and the $120 Wheelhouse cash. My Personal Favorites answered correctly as well and jumped from  fifth place to second place and enjoyed $10 Wheelhouse cash.

Top prize this week is $40 Wheelhouse cash prize up for grabs. Second place will earn $10 Wheel House cash.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. But if you were in attendance, you know I'm referring to our big theme revolving around our Lunar friend. That's right, many questions dealing with the Moon (and some people with the surname Moon) were giving players a run for their money. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points. Followed as closely as you can get was  Why So Serious with 41 points. Wino Combo  was in third place with 39 points.
