Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 6 February 2024

Happy new week Trivia faithful!

How did you like the outcome of the Super Bowl? Did you party too hard and took Monday off? Either way, I'm glad you're checking in on the weekly review of our Trivia match from last Thursday at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden. Sorry I didn't get this written and published last week. It was kind of a blessing in disguise as so many of you asked about and clearly took the time to look for this thing. Like I said during the match, sometimes I feel like this is just the ramblings of a lunatic typing into the internet-verse.

We had a great turnout last week, 38 wonderful players on 11 different teams were huddled in the Wheel Tent playing for the top prize of $40 Wheel House Cash or the second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash. We had some new faces with The Divers joining us for the first time. We hope they make it back soon. Comfortably Dumb made it back out after a month or so hiatus. My Personal Favorites brought a new four legged furry friend to the game that everyone was happy to see.

On to the business of things. Questions for the game were both easy and difficult throughout the night. We had a mini theme in questions and answers featuring "Knee" and "Need" somewhere. I won't pretend to understand how the question writing elves came up with that one. The first half was a strong one for most teams. From last to first, there was only a 13 point separation between all teams. Like I always stay, most teams always have the chance to win no matter their point total early in the game. After a toweringly easy halftime question, Wheel Deal Sex Appeal held first place with 43 points. Smartinis and My Personal Favorites in second place with 40. In fourth place was Wino Combo and Raven Lunatics were tied for fourth place with 39. Those ties and scores show how close the game was.

The second half of the game was when the heat got turned up on you all with much more difficult questions. Before the final question, Wheel Deal Sex Appeal extended their lead to 80 points with Wino Combo in second place with 65 points. The final question was rather random and difficult and kind of stupid. You all were tasked with arranging four late 90s early 2000s events from when they occurred earliest to latest. Not a single team answered correctly. Like many times previously, smart wagering would determine our victors. Our top two teams heading into the final left their wagers blank and finished in the same spots they had been going into the final question. Staying in firsts was the house team, Wheel Deal Sex Appeal. In second place with 65 points, Wino Combo took home $10 Wheelhouse Cash. We roll that top prize over to this week with $80 Wheelhouse cash prize up for grabs. Second place will earn $10 Wheel House cash.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. But if you were in attendance, you know I'm referring to our big theme revolving around our Lunar friend. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points.
