Wheel House – Let's Do Trivia - 18 July – BLURB

Hello all, Allen again covering for Adam as he enjoys a vacation somewhere a bit cooler than it has been here.  As always I enjoyed coming back to The Wheelhouse and seeing familiar faces as well meeting new teams.  One of those new teams (to me at least) was 2 Hens and a Cock, who made their mark in the coop by finishing the first half in the lead, 2 points clear of Wino Combo.  Wheel Deal Sex Appeal, The Rogues and Beauty Before Brains round out the top five heading into the half.

Fortunes rose and fortunes fell in the second half.  Wino Combo captured the lead heading into the final question.  The Rogues stole their way into second while Wild Wicked Women, 2 Hens and a Cock and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal round out the top five heading into the final.

The final question as always was a poser for most of our teams.  First place Wino Combo solved it but were conservative on their bet.  Meanwhile, formerly 7th place team For the Fun of It also solved the final and swung for the fences on their bet with nothing to lose.  This strategy paid off handsomely as it allowed them to surge into the lead, taking a first prize of $50 Wheelhouse house cash.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. But if you were in attendance, you know I'm referring to our big theme revolving around our Lunar friend. That's right, many questions dealing with the Moon (and some people with the surname Moon) were giving players a run for their money. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points. Followed as closely as you can get was  Why So Serious with 41 points. Wino Combo  was in third place with 39 points.
