Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 11 July 2024

Good Day Trivia peeps!

Lets do our weekly recap of last Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden. I'm not sure, but I think we broke both our number of teams and number of players record for the Wheelhouse Beer Garden this past Thursday. 71 players on 19 teams packed it into the beer garden, top deck, and side deck with the goal of taking home the large top prize of $120 Wheelhouse Cash, a second place prize of $25 Wheelhouse cash, and $10 Wheelhouse cash.

Before we get to the recap, ANOTHER PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT.... Let's Do Trivia next week on Thursday July 18th, will be hosted by none other than our Trivia Obi Wan Kenobi, Allen! I will be out of the country and be back with you on Thursday July 25th.

With the large number of teams, the game was very competitive and scores were all over the place with this week's questions throughout the game. The leaders at halftime were YO Mamma with 45 points, behind them was a tie for second place with MC DEEEEALITES and Brew Rogues holding 44 points each. The difficulty level of questions got turned up in the second half. Entering the final question YO Mamma dropped to third place and Brew Rogues still held onto second place. The Four Banditos were leading with 76 points. Our top two teams both got the final question correct and held their spots winning $120 and $25 Wheelhouse cash respectively, but none other than Wheel Deal Sex Appeal got the question correct as well to finish in third place. As the house team that $10 prize rolls over to next week making the top prize $50 Wheelhouse cash.

Win first place AND at least one member of your team arrives before 6pm, earn an extra $10. Allen won't be doing my extra clues so no need to listen to the setlist between 6pm and 6:30pm for an answer to a question in round 1 and this week's cover song won't be in the playlist from last week.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. But if you were in attendance, you know I'm referring to our big theme revolving around our Lunar friend. That's right, many questions dealing with the Moon (and some people with the surname Moon) were giving players a run for their money. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points. Followed as closely as you can get was  Why So Serious with 41 points. Wino Combo  was in third place with 39 points.
