Wheelhouse Trivia family!

Hope everyone had a great weekend and is back ready to take on a new week. A few housekeeping tasks before we recap last Thursday's Wheelhouse Beer Garden Let's Do Trivia match. I will be away from the mic for the next two Thursdays. Next Thursday is for a wedding (NOT MINE) and the following Thursday is for a work trip out of state. You know what that means! Yes indeed, our trivia Morpheus will be plugged back into the Matrix to get you all through the next two weeks. Enjoy his hosting!

On to last Thursday! 39 players on 10 teams played for a top prize of $50 Wheelhouse Cash and second place prize of $10 Wheelhouse cash. We gladly had two new teams join us for their first Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse. Those teams were No Idea (I told them their team name will be whatever they wrote in there) and New Neighbors (who actually newly live pretty close to the Wheelhouse).

For a 3-point bonus next week on round 2 question 1, draw the Union Jack.... 😞

Another week in a row of an entire match sending tougher questions your way. But many teams stepped up to the occasion and after the halftime bonus, New Neighbors were in first place with 45 points with QUIZMO Got Stuck in Voir Dire were right near the top with 42 points. Moving into the second half of the match meant things were going to get even harder. There were maybe one or two instances where a team got all three questions correct in a round. The leader board had some movement after the second half was completed. New Neighbors held their top spot while Wild Wicked Women and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal climbed up to sit in second and third place respectively. The final bonus almost mirrored our halftime bonus asking about Alfred Hitchcock movies. It was a tough one and only one team came up with the correct order. That team was MC Deeeeeeeealites. Their 20 point wager forced them into a tie for first place with New Neighbors. We have not had one of those in a long time. After the tie breaking question, MC Deeeeeeeealites took home the top prize with an impressive come from behind victory.

Top prize this Thursday will be $40 WheelHouse cash. Win first place AND at least one member of your team arrives before 6pm, earn an extra $10. I don't believe Allen will be doing my normal song title or artist answer in the setlist between 6pm and 6:30pm as well as this weeks cover song being in the playlist from last week, so don't be stressing about those.

Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 15 May 2025

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. But if you were in attendance, you know I'm referring to our big theme revolving around our Lunar friend. That's right, many questions dealing with the Moon (and some people with the surname Moon) were giving players a run for their money. Completely unplanned, the Moon theme fit as last Thursday was our first time of the season with the tent taken down. We had great weather for it. The crowd was light-ish with 27 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $40 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Entering the final question , Wheel Deal Sex Appeal held the top spot with 69 (nice) points. Wino Combo were right behind them with 67 points. ...
