Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 21 March 2024

Happy new week Trivia fans,

Adam here from the first day of my Spring Break and it's not looking like the perfect weather we would imagine this time of year. Also, I recently noticed something we can celebrate (or bemoan however you see fit). We recently crossed the one year anniversary of me being your trivia host at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden! We've had our ups and I've had my downs, mostly with reading and numbers. Who needs to understand how to do those things when hosting trivia anyway? But I am grateful to all of you that come out every week and share in the fun we have on Friday eve!

Enough sappy crap, on to the recap. People must have still been hungover from Sunday because again we had 29 players on 8 teams in it for a top prize of $40 Wheelhouse Cash and second place prize of $10 Wheelhouse cash. We did have two new teams joining us this week: Hot Hussies and Thera-QTS. Hopefully they enjoyed the game and will return in the near future.

Teams performed mostly well in the first half of the match. We blessed the rains down in Africa for the halftime bonus question asking teams to name the four longest rivers in Africa. Most teams at least picked up two correct answers. Going into the second half, Wheel Deal Sex Appeal and Wino Combo were in first and second place respectively. The second half was more difficult for teams as usual. Before the final question, our highest point total was 75 points from Wheel Deal Sex Appeal. Another week were the final question was a tough one. Teams needed to order from most episodes aired to least episodes aired a few A&E reality shows. No teams landed on the correct order. That meant smart betting strategies were the determining factor for the winner. Those wonderful Wild Wicked Women held back on wagering any points and that is what they needed to rise to the top of our leaderboard and claim the top prize for the evening. Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were our second place finishers meaning of course, that $10 prize rolls into the top prize next week.

Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 15 May 2025

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. But if you were in attendance, you know I'm referring to our big theme revolving around our Lunar friend. That's right, many questions dealing with the Moon (and some people with the surname Moon) were giving players a run for their money. Completely unplanned, the Moon theme fit as last Thursday was our first time of the season with the tent taken down. We had great weather for it. The crowd was light-ish with 27 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $40 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Entering the final question , Wheel Deal Sex Appeal held the top spot with 69 (nice) points. Wino Combo were right behind them with 67 points. ...
