Wheel House – Let's Do Trivia - 30 December 2023 – BLURB

Hello all, Allen writing to you today after covering for Adam as he was 'doing stuff'.  What could be better than spending an evening with all of you, I have no idea.  I'm only happy I was able to stand in on his behalf.

While I was standing in, Wino Combo ft. Grant (WCfG) was standing up in the first half.  They held a one point lead over As Is Tradition while Wheel Deal Sex Appeal and Allen's Beard, Little Full Lotta Sap were tied for third, three points off the pace.

At the end of the second half of play we had a menage a' trivia, with three teams tied for the lead.  Wheel Deal Sex Appeal, Your Mom Dear Watson and WCfG were all tied with As Is Tradition one point off the pace, setting up one of the more exciting final questions I've seen in quite some time.

All but one team bet the full 20 points on the final, and every single team missed answering correctly.  As Is Tradition, formerly in 4th, wisely bet a paltry three points and watched while all the other scores went down the drain missing large bets.  As Is Tradition takes the roll over prize.  Congrats and well played all.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. But if you were in attendance, you know I'm referring to our big theme revolving around our Lunar friend. That's right, many questions dealing with the Moon (and some people with the surname Moon) were giving players a run for their money. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points. Followed as closely as you can get was  Why So Serious with 41 points. Wino Combo  was in third place with 39 points.
