Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 14 December 2023

Hello Good people of Trivia, 

Adam here to give you a recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheel House. 41 players on ten teams were all aiming for the top prize of $40 Wheel House cash.

We weren't full hearted into Christmas trivia questions yet, but next week is looking festive. With no theme, teams were all doing rather well in the first half of the match. Most teams had 30 or more points. At the end of the first half Wheel Deal Sex Appeal held first place with 45 points with Your Mom Dear Watson and QUIZMO Made My Heart Skip a Beat tied for second place with 40 points each. Original Sin was in third place with 33 points.

For a 3-point bonus next week, draw what you saw mommy doing to Santa Claus....

The second half stuck to the tradition of being much tougher than the first half. We had at least 3 questions where only one or two teams provided the correct answer. Going into the final, Wheel Deal Sex Appeal had a 3-point lead over second place QUIZMO Made My Heart Skip a Beat.

We had to head to the bathroom to answer the final question. Teams needed to arrange Iceland, Japan, and the USofA in order of the number of public toilets available per 100,000 people from most to least. Three of the ten teams provided the correct order (which was one of those sneaky orders where I read them in the correct order). Wheel Deal Sex Appeal provided the correct answer and wagered 20 points to finish first with 95 points. Wino Combo answered correctly as well and wagered 20 points to land in second place with 79 points. Your Mom, Dear Watson finished in third place with 68 points.

The house team winning of course means that when we play our match this week, the top prize will be $80 Wheelhouse Cash.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points.
