Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 2 November 2023

Good day Trivia friends!

Adam here to fill you in on last Thursday's trivia match. Finally the great Wheelhouse Beer Garden became enclosed with a new tent to keep us out of the cold for the foreseeable future. 49 players on 11 teams packed in there for the top prize of a $40 Wheel House gift certificate and $10 second place certificate.

The mini theme to the evening was an interesting one. Teams were digging their brains to answer a few questions based around famous Jennifers; Jason Leigh, Lo, and Aniston to name a few. Again, the first half was a challenging one to most teams. After a strong showing by all teams in the halftime bonus, we saw QUIZMO stole my candy in the lead followed closely by Wheel Deal Sex Appeal  and Jeopardy Losers Club.

For a bonus 3 points on Round 2 Question 1, draw a clock. (Hope you turned those clocks back on Saturday)

Most teams performed better in the second half and before the final question, our standings atop the leaderboard remained the same as after halftime. Coming out of the final question, only a few teams got the correct order of J-Lo movie release years. That meant the Wild Wicked Women shot to the top and were victorious over their foes. Estrogen Overdose finished in second place to give us a female themed first and second place.

Teams that arrive before 6pm are able to receive an extra $10 added to the top prize if they end the game in first place, exactly like Wild WIcked Women did last Thursday. Since I will not be hosting next Thursday, don't look for an answer to a first round question in the playlist between 6:00 and 6:30.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. But if you were in attendance, you know I'm referring to our big theme revolving around our Lunar friend. That's right, many questions dealing with the Moon (and some people with the surname Moon) were giving players a run for their money. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points. Followed as closely as you can get was  Why So Serious with 41 points. Wino Combo  was in third place with 39 points.
