Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 28 September 2023

Hi Trivia faithful!

After a week off, WE WERE BACK! That's right, Let's Do Trivia returned to The Wheelhouse Beer Garden this past Thursday September 28th. It's getting darker earlier and the mist of rain that came through made for a less than appealing second half of the game.

37 players on 9 teams competed for the top prize of $50 Wheel House gift certificate (larger because of the house team coming in second back on September 14th) and $10 second place certificate.

For a bonus 3 points on Round 2 Question 1, draw for me your fall drink order from Starbucks or any other coffee shop.

We didn't have a theme for the questions, but those in attendance will remember I was playing One Hit Wonders in honor of National One Hit WOnder Day. After the first half, 44 points from QUIZMO Should Start Supporting Chelsea Women's Team had them in first place. (Full Disclosure: I have supported Chelsea's Women's Team for as long as I have watched the Men's team) Wheel Deal Sex Appeal enjoyed second place with 42 points.

The final question asked teams to order three songs with "September" in the title by the year they were released. earliest to most recent. Only one team got the correct order, last week's champions As Is Tradition. That shot them all the way up to second place. The team that came alive in the second half, Wheel Deal Sex Appeal, only wagered one point and finished with 80 points which was good enough to be this week's champions. As always when the house tema wins, that prize rolls over to next week. That means our top prize next week will be $90 Wheelhouse cash.

Teams that arrive before 6pm are able to receive an extra $10 added to the top prize if they end the game in first place. Remember to find that answer to a first round question in either a song title or artist that is played on the playlist between 6:00 and 6:30.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points.
