Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 14 September 2023

Hello Trivia fans!

Adam here to fill you in on how this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheel House Beer Garden. But first, NO TRIVIA NEXT WEEK SEPTEMBER 21ST. The Wheel House will be hosting a private event. Now you can really see how your kids act on Thursday nights when you're at trivia.

We had fantastic conditions for hanging around outside and answering some questions. Have the cool autumn evenings finally arrived for trivia?

Attendance was closer to normal at the Wheel House with 43 players on 10 teams competing for top prize of $40 Wheel House gift certificate and $10 second place certificate.

This week we had a mini theme of European countries and a few pizza questions. Like last week, it was a low scoring affair. That can be attributed to an especially tough second half of the game. Most teams were riding high after an easier halftime question. After the first half, 44 points from QUIZMO is the New Jets Quarterback was good enough for first place and last week's champions Your Mom Dear Watson held second place with 41 points. Things got difficult for most teams in the second half and no team broke 70 points going into the final question.

The final question asked teams to order San Marino, Andorra, Liechtenstein, and Malta by their most recent population estimate. Malta, Andorra, Liechtenstein, and San Marino are in the correct order and only one team got the answer correct! The honor goes to As Is Tradition who finished in first place and took home the top prize.

For a bonus 3 points on Round 2 Question 1, draw me your expression when trivia is cancelled at The Wheel House because of a private event.

Well well well... since Wheel Deal Sex Appeal finished the evening in second place, we will take that $10 prize and roll it into the top prize on September 21st. You all will be aiming for $50 Wheel House Cash.

As always. teams that arrive before 6pm are able to receive an extra $10 added to the top prize if they end the game in first place. Remember to find that answer to a first round question in either a song title or artist that is played on the playlist between 6:00 and 6:30. Did I also play the original version of the Music Bonus cover song last Thursday night.....

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. But if you were in attendance, you know I'm referring to our big theme revolving around our Lunar friend. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points. Followed as closely as you can get was  Why So Serious with 41 points. Wino Combo  was in third place with 39 points.
