Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 24 August 2023

It's Adam coming to you from the slot machines in the back corner of a Las Vegas Casino to double down with a recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheel House Beer Garden.

As you could probably tell, Vegas was a slight theme to the evening with a few questions and our final round question. A quick shot of rain that came through before 6:30 didn't keep anyone away. 11 teams with 47 players were rolling the dice for the top prize of a $80 Wheel House gift certificate for first place and $10 second place certificate. A special shout out to four new teams joining us for Let's Do Trivia this past week; SGTB, Youngin's, I Drink and I Know Things, and The Five Sashimis.

Questions were moderately easy during the first half of our match. No team had less than 29 points at the midway mark. At the half, Your Mom Dear Watson and Younglin's were tied for the lead with 39 points. 

As is now to be expected, the second half saw the difficulty level increase. This is when many of our Vegas theme questions popped up.

After the final question that asked teams to rank four Vegas hotel/casinos in order of the number of rooms they claim to have, an interesting flip to the script from last week occured. The first and second place teams from two weeks ago flipped spots.  Dickens Cider was the ONLY TEAM to get the correct order and their 20 point wager got them first place! Wheel Deal Sex Appeal did not get the order correct, but didn't put any chips on the table, thus finishing in second place with 66 points. T

The top prize on Thursday will be a $40 Wheel House gift certificate! Second place will earn a $10 Wheel House gift certificate.

Teams that arrive before 6pm are able to receive an extra $10 added to the top prize if they end the game in first place.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points. Followed as closely as you can get was  Why So Serious with 41 points. Wino Combo  was in third place with 39 points.
