Wheel House – Let's Do Trivia - 10 Auguest 2023 – BLURB

Greeting all, Allen here writing as a substitute for Adam who is off living his best life, or something (again!).

Tonight we were playing for a HUGE rollover first prize of $160.  Teams were revved up and ready to win.

The quickest team off the mark in the first half was Lenny and Squiggy.  They were in the lead at the half, one point clear of house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal.

Teams in the second half were scoring points like crazy, with several near perfect performances turned in.  This meant that absolutely every point was vital as demonstrated by the standings among our top three teams.  Tied for the lead at the end of the second half were house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal who were ready to add to the rollover pot, and Dickens Cider.  In third, only one point off the pace were Lenny and Squiggy.

Probably due to the close scores at the top, all kinds of crazy betting strategies were used on the final, but it was the 'bet zero and watch everyone else fail' strategy that worked best.  Lenny and Squiggy stood pat on their score and watched everyone else tank on the final, earning them a handsome first prize and the respect of their peers.  Well played!

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points.
