Wheel House – Let's Do Trivia - 29 June 2023 – BLURB

<singing> Hello, Hello HELLO!

Air quality was not the best for our game, but the atmosphere was through the proverbial roof!  It was fantastic being back in the saddle for Let's Do Trivia at The Wheel House.  Thank you all for being an awesome audience as usual.

With eleven teams, points were flying fast and furious in the game, though curiously there was one do over.  With a nearly perfect first half score, Quizmo Goes AWOL When His Country Needs Him Most (QGAWHCNHM) held a five point lead over Live, Laugh, Lobotomy.  Your Mom Dear Watson, Wino Combo minus Dewey, Crazy Eights and Low Expectations were all within ten points of the lead and looking to make a move in the second half.

QGAWHCNHM gave them that chance, missing out on several moments in the second half and falling down to fourth place.  Live, Laugh, Lobotomy surged into the lead, with Your Mom Dear Watson surprisingly in second place after I promised to eviscerate them due to their very hurtful On Time Bonus response! 

As usual, the final question was truly going to determine the outcome with all of our teams still mathematically alive.  Most of our front runners bet the maximum points and missed, while formerly fifth place Wild Wicked Women sat on a bet of zero.  That strategy paid off well as they slipped into second place.  Crazy Eights were still near the top at the end of the first half, slipped badly in the standings in the second half, all the way down to ninth place.  But they were the only team to answer correctly and pulled out a massive upset win.  Well played ladies!  Congrats to our winners Crazy Eights and well played to all.  I look forward to seeing you all again next week.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. But if you were in attendance, you know I'm referring to our big theme revolving around our Lunar friend. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points.
