Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 20 July 2023

Good day trivia teams!

After a three week break, it's Adam here again to fill you in on this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheel House Beer Garden.

The weather was fantastic for us to play our match outside in the Beer Garden. 49 players on 11 teams were duking it out for the top prize of $40 Wheel House gift certificate for first place and $10 second place certificate.

For a bonus three points this coming Thursday, draw your best version of the first place Baltimore Orioles logo on round 2 question 1.


I did not go easy on teams for my first game back from vacation. Points were dropped all over the place, but all teams stayed competitive throughout. Riot Penguins held first place at halftime with 40 points. Welcome Back QUIZMO! Where's Paul? held second place with a close 39 points. Questions stayed tough in the second half. The leaders of the first half both slipped down the rankings as Wheel Deal Sex Appeal and The Pirates That Don't Do Anything (formerly Pint's and Pups) grabbed first and second place respectively going into the final question. In fact, the top five teams were only separated by five points. It was anyone's game to claim. About a quarter of the teams answered the final question correctly and one of those was the house team, Wheel Deal Sex Appeal. That means the top prize of $40 Wheel House cash rolls over to next week to make the first place pot $80 Wheel House cash. Welcome Back QUIZMO! Where's Paul? took home the second place $10 Wheel House cash prize.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. But if you were in attendance, you know I'm referring to our big theme revolving around our Lunar friend. That's right, many questions dealing with the Moon (and some people with the surname Moon) were giving players a run for their money. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points. Followed as closely as you can get was  Why So Serious with 41 points. Wino Combo  was in third place with 39 points.
