Wheel House – Let's Do Trivia - 22 June 2023

Happy new week trivia teams!

It's Adam taking a break trying to dry off from all the rain to give you an update on last week's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheel House Beer Garden.

The possibility of rain in North Beach pushed us to the inside of the Wheel House. 38 players on 8 teams played for the top prize of $40 Wheel House gift certificate for first place and $10 second place certificate.

The first half of the game was somewhat easier than the second half. QUIZMO Should Have Tightened The Hatch More were runaway leaders through the first half. A couple other teams got close to their lead in the second half of our match.  QUIZMO held a three point lead over Wheel Deal Sex Appeal going into the final. The final question asked teams to organize four cities all named St Augustine (Trinidad, Florida, Maryland, and Illinois) in the correct order from easternmost to westernmost. Five of the eight teams with us figured out the correct order. That surge in points for some teams rearranged our standings. Wheel Deal Sex Appeal took first place and after a tiebreaker, Crazy 8s won the second place Wheel House gift certificate.

First place prize next week will be a $80 Wheel House gift certificate due to the house team coming in first place last week. Second place will land a $10 Wheel House gift certificate. Teams that arrive before 6pm are able to receive an extra $10 added to the top prize if they end the game victorious.


I will be out for the next two Thursdays so you all will be back under the care of our Trivia Daddy, Allen for those matches. Those extra hints I give you (the song hint between 6-6:30 and the original version of this weeks cover song being in last weeks playlist) will probably not be there with Allen.


For a bonus three points this Thursday, draw your best version of Allen on round 2 question 1.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. But if you were in attendance, you know I'm referring to our big theme revolving around our Lunar friend. That's right, many questions dealing with the Moon (and some people with the surname Moon) were giving players a run for their money. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points. Followed as closely as you can get was  Why So Serious with 41 points. Wino Combo  was in third place with 39 points.
