Wheel House – Let's Do Trivia - 27 April 2023

Good day!

Adam here standing outside dripping wet after my umbrella turned inside out. In fact, for a bonus three points next week, draw for me what your umbrella looks like after this weekend.

But last Thursday was the calm before the storm, well calm for everyone not playing Let's Do Trivia with us at the Wheel House. The game was an eventful one with 10 teams made up of 41 players competing for a $40 Wheel House cash certificate for first place and a $10 second place certificate.

We had three new teams join us: Leonburger with Fries, Beach Bums, and Beckman Brains.

The first half was a difficult one with every team dropping points somewhere in the half. We had a tie for the lead spot after halftime between the house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal and QUIZMO decrees that the tyrant is the smart one both holding 36 points. Corporate Guesspionage were behind those two teams with a strong 34 points.

Ranksing mostly stayed similar to the first half during our second half of questions. But everything blow up and standings were shifted heavily after the final question. Of the 10 teams, seven answered the final question incorrectly. Two of our new teams answered the final question correctly and one of them,  Beach Bums, took the second place spot. But joy was had by all for one of our favorite regular teams, Wino Combo (minus Dewey), as they took home the top prize after coming all the way from fifth place with that correct final answer. We all wish their mini mascot could have witnessed the joy of victory.

Get to the Wheel House early and figure out the one song played between 6:00 and 6:30 before the game starts that will provide you an answer during the regular rounds with either the song title or the artist.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points.
