Wheel House – Let's Do Trivia - 25 May 2023

Howdy Trivia Beach Bums!

Adam here coming to you live from one of the hightops at Seacrets with my fifth or sixth orange crush to recap last Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheel House Beer Garden.

Man, did we have a great amount of players and teams for a Thursday night before a holiday weekend. 52 players on 12 teams battled it out for the top prize of a $55 Wheel House gift certificate for first place, $25 second place Wheel House cash (because we had more than 50 players), and a $10 third place certificate.

We Don't Need Another QUIZMO dominated the game during the regular rounds with an 8 point lead over the rest of the pack and 82 points going into the final question. Wino Combo and Dicken's Cider were the teams to round out the top three before the final question. Strong betting strategies meant that the hit from getting the final question wrong didn't hurt some teams as much as others. We had a shuffling at the top of our rankings which led to Your Mom Dear Watson finishing atop the standings with 91 points! Pints and Pups finished second and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal finished third.

On Round 2 Question 1 for a bonus 3 points next match, draw what you did in your pool this past weekend.

First place prize next week will be a $55 Wheel House gift certificate since the house team finished third. Teams that arrive before 6pm are able to receive an extra $10 added to the top prize if they happen to win the match. Arrive early to find out the one song played between 6:00 and 6:30 before the game starts that will give you an answer during the first half round with either the song title or the artist.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. But if you were in attendance, you know I'm referring to our big theme revolving around our Lunar friend. That's right, many questions dealing with the Moon (and some people with the surname Moon) were giving players a run for their money. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points.
