Wheel House – Let's Do Trivia - 18 May 2023

Hey there Trivia stars!

It's Adam coming to you live from the Pharmacy line at CVS to recap last Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheel House Beer Garden.

We had a light bunch, but mostly all were veteran teams. The top prize last week was a $105 Wheel House gift certificate for first place and a $10 second place certificate.

WE WILL BE PLAYING LET'S DO TRIVIA NEXT THURSDAY MAY 25TH. On Round 2 Question 1 for a bonus 3 points next match, draw your favorite Memorial Day weekend food.

The first half of the games was a tough one for all teams. Points were dropped left and right.

Entering halftime, Wild Wicked Women were leading with 41 points. New team Ad Astra impressively held second place with 36 points. The halftime question asked teams to answer what the first letter in CVS, GEICO, TCBY, and IHOP stood for when the companies were first founded. No team got more than three of the four answers correct.

From the host's perspective, the second half was much easier than the first. Teams added to their point totals easily with only four incorrect answers submitted in total all through the fifth and sixth round.

Going into the final question, Wild Wicked Women held a comfortable (but not out of reach) six point lead over Wheel Deal Sex Appeal. Your Mom Dear Watson, Ad Astra, and QUIZOMO Pronounces #ANALBUMCOVER Wrong were all tied for third place with 70 points.

The final question related back to the halftime question asking teams to arrange CVS, IHOP, GEICO, and TCBY in order of when each company was founded, earliest to latest. Of 9 teams, four teams got the order correct. Wild Wicked Women played a great match and led the entire game from start to finish and took the first place prize PLUS an extra $10 for arriving before 6:00pm. Wheel Deal Sex Appeal finished in the second place position so that prize of $10 rolls over to next week.

First place prize next week will be a $55 Wheel House gift certificate. Teams that arrive before 6pm are able to receive an extra $10 added to the top prize if they happen to win the match. Arrive early to find out the one song played between 6:00 and 6:30 before the game starts that will give you an answer during the first half round with either the song title or the artist.

Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 15 May 2025

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. But if you were in attendance, you know I'm referring to our big theme revolving around our Lunar friend. That's right, many questions dealing with the Moon (and some people with the surname Moon) were giving players a run for their money. Completely unplanned, the Moon theme fit as last Thursday was our first time of the season with the tent taken down. We had great weather for it. The crowd was light-ish with 27 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $40 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Entering the final question , Wheel Deal Sex Appeal held the top spot with 69 (nice) points. Wino Combo were right behind them with 67 points. ...
