Wheel House – Let's Do Trivia - 6 April 2023

Happy Easter to those celebrating. Adam here to offer you a summary of last week's Trivia game at the Wheel House Beer Garden. I was informed it was the biggest night of trivia ever at the Wheel House. About 75 players spread out amongst 17 teams participated. They were all aiming for the top prize of a $50 Wheel House gift Certificate for first place and a $10 gift certificate for second place. It was also my first night as quizmaster on my own. I know we will all miss Allen, but I hope to someday live up to his legend.

 

For a bonus three points next week, on Round 2 Question 1, draw for me your favorite adult beverage…

 

On that note, James has put together a great new spring drink menu and a new beer list at the Wheel House. On the drink menu, the Blueberry Lemon Crush or Lemon Crush are beyond refreshing. I personally have been enjoying the Pure Iration from First State Brewing is a fantastic Hazy Double IPA.

 

The game was a tough one but all teams were up to the challenge. Sweet and Salty Nuts, Wheel Deal Sex Appeal, Jeopardy Losers Club, and Quizmo Named as State Affiliated Media Channel were the teams jockeying for the top spots all through the match. After the final question asking teams to rank the number of stars that appear on certain state flags, there was some movement at the top. Beauty Before Brains earned third place and $10 Wheel House cash because we had over 50 players that night. Shooting all the way up to second place from ninth place was Smarty Pints taking home $25 Wheel House cash. But despite never being in the top spot all night, the house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal finished first with 96 points.

 

As always when the house team wins, that top prize rolls over to next week. So come out with your game because this coming Thursday the top prize will be $90 Wheel House Cash.

Remember, teams that have at least one member arrive prior to 6pm win an extra $10 if they take first prize.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points.
