Wheel House – Let's Do Trivia - 30 March 2023

HAPPY SPRING BREAK!

 

Hopefully your kids are tame and your kid's teachers are not over spring break here in southern Maryland! Adam here to give everyone a quick recap of last week's Trivia match at the Wheel House Beer Garden. We had 11 strong teams playing for our top two prizes of a $40 Wheel House gift Certificate for first place and a $10 gift certificate for second place. All my own audio equipment has arrived. That means this was Allen's last week hanging out and playing in the match on his own team, SpongeBob Worthy. Last week's winners, Riot Penguins, did not join us this week, so the game was open for a new winner to step up. Due to circumstances going on up north of us, some of the players on Paul's team were cutting it close to arriving at the match. They took this opportunity to name their team: Andrew's Airforce Base Lockdown Conspiracy To Make Us Lose. All I can say is what Shaggy taught us, wasn't me.

 

We had some teams play that aren't normally with us have some strong showings: Putin Knowledge in Ukranium, The Muggles, and Swamp Donkeys. The house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal moved up and down the standings all night. But Andrew's Airforce Base Lockdown Conspiracy To Make Us Lose held first place from start to finish all night only dropping two points all game. Like our winners last week, they finished the game with 101 points. SpongeBob Worthy took third place prize with $10 house cash. Since that is Allen's team and he was not going to take any winnings, that money will roll over to make our top prize next week will be $50 Wheel House gift certificate and second place will take home $10 Wheel house cash.

Remember, teams that have at least one member arrive prior to 6pm win an extra $10 if they take first prize.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. But if you were in attendance, you know I'm referring to our big theme revolving around our Lunar friend. That's right, many questions dealing with the Moon (and some people with the surname Moon) were giving players a run for their money. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points.
