Wheel House – Let's Do Trivia - 20 April 2023

Hello and happy new week!

It's Adam coming to you from inside a mid 90's hotboxed Honda Civic. We celebrated 4/20 with some smokin' good questions at the Wheel House Beer Garden last Thursday! It was a tough game of Let's Do Trivia for all teams. We were graced with the presence of Riot Penguins for the first time in three weeks. 10 teams with 37 players took their hit for a $40 Wheel House cash certificate for first place and a $10 second place certificate.

For a bonus 3 points next week, draw for me how you celebrated 4/20 this year.

New regulars Beauty Before Brains took the top dog spot after halftime with 37 points. The house team Wheel deal Sex Appeal held second place with 34 points. For those not aware, those points are low for a normal Thursday night at the Wheel House.

But those point values went up in smoke after the final question. Riot Penguins jumped from third to first place after the final question and our leaders fell hard. Here are your final rankings:

Remember to get to the Wheel House early because one song played between 6:00 and 6:30 before the actual game starts will provide you an answer during the regular rouinds with either the song title or the artist. Also for this coming week's music bonus, I played the original song and artist in the playlist somewhere this past Thursday. What could it be.....

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. But if you were in attendance, you know I'm referring to our big theme revolving around our Lunar friend. That's right, many questions dealing with the Moon (and some people with the surname Moon) were giving players a run for their money. Completely unplanned, the Moon theme fit as last Thursday was our first time of the season with the tent taken down. We had great weather for it. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points. Followed as closely as you can get was  Why So Serious with 41 points. Wino Combo  was in third place with 39 points.
