Wheel House – Let's Do Trivia - 2 March 2023 – BLURB

Greetings humans of Earth,

 

It's Adam writing to you today. I find myself currently in the mountains of Siberia training Rocky IV style as I continue my journey to Quiz Master a game of Let's Do Trivia solo soon. Allen has taught me many of his ticks of the trade and helped me through the unexpected bumps in the road when we are running the game live. Thanks everyone for the patience during the learning curve.

 

While this past Thursday was not as unseasonably warm as the previous week, we did have a good amount of teams that came out to join us for our little weekly contest. Ten teams comprised of 38 individuals graced the Wheel House Beer Garden. Teams that were recently newbies are beginning to become Let's Do Trivia regulars. Wine Combo, welcomed back a few players that are perineal staples who vacationed away for a bit during February. The House Team, Wheel Deal Sex Appeal, continues to rotate through utility players to support Mike Mike and James during the game.

 

The match was rather competitive with the top five teams all finishing with greater than 90 points. Going into the final question, all ten teams were still alive with it only being a 20 point swing from first to tenth place. Seven of the ten teams answered the final question correctly. But repeating from the previous week, this past Thursday (as always with a different name) saw  Allen Might Be Our Father But We Call Adam Daddy as the winners of $40 Wheel House cash. Wheel Deal Sex Appeal finished in second place by one point and that $10 Wheel House cash prize will roll over into this week's first place prize.

3rd: Riot Penguins

1st: Allen Might Be Our Father But We Call Adam Daddy ($40)

 

For a 3-point bonus, on round two question one, call me daddy!

 

Teams that have at least one member arrive prior to 6pm win an extra $10 if they take first prize.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points.
