Wheel House – Let's Do Trivia - 9 February 2023 – BLURB

Another week with a very strong turnout!  I love this game and I love this venue.  The Wheel House is the best.

Speaking of the best, two of our strongest teams were tied for the lead at half time, with house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal and Riot Penguins tied for the lead.  Only two points behind and tied for third, two of our other regularly competitive teams were eyeing up a chance to move up in the standings.  Sweet and Salty Nuts and This is Not a Drill, Please Evacuate the Bar were primed and ready to go in the second half.

During the second half, house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal fell a bit off the pace while the other top three teams stayed atop the leaderboard with Riot Penguins leading the way.

A significant number of teams gained maximum points on the final question, and Riot Penguins were no exception, shutting down hopes for a come back win for our other teams tonight.  Congrats to the Riot Penguins and well played all.

A big shout out to Adam for his part in hosting this past week.  He is in training to become a host for Let's Do Trivia.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. But if you were in attendance, you know I'm referring to our big theme revolving around our Lunar friend. That's right, many questions dealing with the Moon (and some people with the surname Moon) were giving players a run for their money. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points. Followed as closely as you can get was  Why So Serious with 41 points. Wino Combo  was in third place with 39 points.
