Wheel House – Let's Do Trivia - 23 February 2023 – BLURB

Hello all, Allen writing to you today.  I've taught Adam a fair bit about running the game, but he is not yet writing the weekly blurb but watch out for him to take that over soon.

A spike in temps in mid-February led to a spike in attendance, a spike in hilarity, and possibly a spike in alcohol intake.  Ah, who are we kidding, y'all drank up just fine and had a great time this week!

Ironically and appropriately, our leaders at the end of the first half were first time team Shots and Giggles.  No word on if they had a spike in alcohol intake, but they had a spike in points, leading house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal and Some of Allen's Illegitimate Children by two points at the half.

The second half of play saw a mini comeback by the house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal.  They carried a three-point lead into the final with Some of Allen's Illegitimate Children and The Good Doctors tied for second.

Of our 13 teams, five were able to correctly answer the final question while betting big.  True to the intelligence of their alleged father, Some of Allen's Illegitimate Children were one of those teams, gaining 20 points on the final and taking the win.  Well played all, and congrats to my alleged kids for winning as they should have.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. But if you were in attendance, you know I'm referring to our big theme revolving around our Lunar friend. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points. Followed as closely as you can get was  Why So Serious with 41 points. Wino Combo  was in third place with 39 points.
