Wheel House – Let's Do Trivia - 2 February 2023 – BLURB

Last week in the newsletter I remarked about how we fit so many players into the tent.  Well, this week was REALLY cold, and management decided to hold the game inside.  Where we nearly had 50 players.  In a smaller space.  Where the acoustics are not optimal.

Well, everyone there behaved very well and we overcame the acoustics issue with minimal fuss.  For that, I thank you!

Our more experienced teams dominated the first half of play with Bed, Bath and Your Mom taking a three-point lead over Your Mom, Dear Watson and a four-point lead over house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal.

The second half saw a now somewhat predictable come back from house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal storming back into the lead with Bed, Bath and Your Mom three points off the pace. 

The final question threw every team but one for a Super Bowl halftime marching band curve ball.  Our one team that nailed the final question, Your Mom, Dear Watson used that to move from third and into the win on the final.  This earned them a cool $120 house cash.  Congrats to Your Mom, Dear Watson, and well played to all.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. But if you were in attendance, you know I'm referring to our big theme revolving around our Lunar friend. That's right, many questions dealing with the Moon (and some people with the surname Moon) were giving players a run for their money. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Entering the final question , Wheel Deal Sex Appeal held the top spot with 69 (nice) points. Wino Combo were right behind them with 67 points. ...

Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points. Followed as closely as you can get was  Why So Serious with 41 points. Wino Combo  was in third place with 39 points.
