Wheel House – Let's Do Trivia - 16 February 2023 – BLURB

Hello all, Allen writing to you today.  I've taught Adam a fair bit about running the game, but he is not yet writing the weekly blurb but watch out for him to take that over soon.

Another evening with an exceptional turn out, especially among brand new players as well as a few relatively new teams who are starting to seem like veterans.

In our first half of play, the usual teams were in the lead, with house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal in the front at half, followed closely by Wheal Deal Lost Their Appeal and Will Serve the Remainder of Their Sentence (thanks Paul, I'm going to have to type like 50 times this week!  Jerk!).

At the end of the second half of play, house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal still held the lead, against followed closely by Wheal Deal Lost Their Appeal and Will Serve the Remainder of Their Sentence.  The final question saw several teams crash and burn, while two teams answered correctly.  One of those teams, Corporate Guesspionage bet conservatively and did not gain enough points to cash in.  The other team, one of those I stated were starting to feel like a veteran team, did swing for the fences on their bet and it paid off big time.  Moving up from fourth place, Jeopardy Losers Club made a splash with a big win.  Congrats and well played to all.

Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 15 May 2025

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. But if you were in attendance, you know I'm referring to our big theme revolving around our Lunar friend. That's right, many questions dealing with the Moon (and some people with the surname Moon) were giving players a run for their money. Completely unplanned, the Moon theme fit as last Thursday was our first time of the season with the tent taken down. We had great weather for it. The crowd was light-ish with 27 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $40 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Entering the final question , Wheel Deal Sex Appeal held the top spot with 69 (nice) points. Wino Combo were right behind them with 67 points. ...
