Wheel House – Let's Do Trivia - 29 December 2022 – BLURB

This past week was that magical week between Christmas and New Years Eve when friends and family are back in town and everyone has a bit of down time to enjoy time pursuing relaxing activities.  This was in evidence last week at the Wheel House as there were many friends and family visiting from out of town.  We had one of our largest games in quite some time.

One of our relatively new teams, The Real Housewives of North Beach set the pace in the first half, leading house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal by two points at the half.

In the second half, Wheel Deal Sex Appeal flipped the script and took a six point lead over The Real Housewives of North Beach.  Viva la Resolution was close at hand in third, but the point totals dropped off quickly from 4th place on down.  However with so many teams playing, betting strategy had to allow for one or more teams to score the max on the final question, which was the case for three of our teams. Perhaps benefiting most from scoring the full 20 on the final was Riot Penguins, moving from 6th to 2nd, but house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal solidified their win by also scoring the full 20.  Congrats to the house team, and well played all.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points. Followed as closely as you can get was  Why So Serious with 41 points. Wino Combo  was in third place with 39 points.
