Wheel House – Let's Do Trivia - 26 January 2023 – BLURB

If you had asked me if we could fit more than 50 players into the beer garden tent at the Wheel House for trivia, I would have said it couldn't be done.  It turns out I would have been wrong!  We had an amazing turn out this week, with 52 players as of the half time census.  This means more prize money and of course more fun!

Despite the large number of team and players most were still right in the mix at the end of the first half.  As is Tradition and Dumb and Dumber were tied for the lead and six teams were within five points of their score.

Both of these teams faded a bit in the second half which made room at the top for some of our perennial contenders.  Though they use a different team name every week, Quizby, Stills, Nash and Young are one of those team frequently seen at the top of our leaderboard.  They held the smallest of margins, one point, over house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal and Riot Penguins who were tied for second.

All thirteen of our teams bet the max 20 on the final, but only four were correct.  Quizby, Stills, Nash and Young was not one of those teams, opening the path for others to move into the lead.  For the second week in the last three weeks, Wheel Deal Sex Appeal and Riot Penguins slid into a tie for the lead.  And for the second time in the last three weeks, Wheel Deal Sex Appeal won the tie breaker.  This rolls over our $80 first prize over to next week for a $120 pot to a lucky winner.

Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 15 May 2025

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. But if you were in attendance, you know I'm referring to our big theme revolving around our Lunar friend. That's right, many questions dealing with the Moon (and some people with the surname Moon) were giving players a run for their money. Completely unplanned, the Moon theme fit as last Thursday was our first time of the season with the tent taken down. We had great weather for it. The crowd was light-ish with 27 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $40 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Entering the final question , Wheel Deal Sex Appeal held the top spot with 69 (nice) points. Wino Combo were right behind them with 67 points. ...
