Wheel House – Let's Do Trivia - 22 December 2022 – BLURB

Christmas time is here, and thanks to rollover jackpots due to several strong results from the house team, this week we were giving away a first prize of $130 as a stocking stuffer.  Who shall take the prize, I wondered?

The first half of play was extremely competitive, with 5 teams within 3 points of first place Riot Penguins.

Several teams stayed hot in the second half, with Bow-Chicka-Plough-Plough plowing into the lead.  Riot Penguins and Wino Combo were tied for second, one point behind.  Several other teams were within striking range including two first time teams that were tied for fourth place, Booze and Boobs and Two Girls and a Mind.

The final question was more kind to our teams than usual with six teams correctly answering the final.  For some of our teams betting strategy was key.  Of course, if you have a lead, bet the full 20 and hit it correct, strategy doesn't have much play in the outcome.  That was the case for Bow-Chicka-Plough-Plough as they held a lead and hit the fully 20 point bet.  Congrats to Bow-Chicka-Plough-Plough and well played to all.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points.
