The Wheelhouse – Let's Do Trivia - 17 Nov 2022 – BLURB

Cold.  Very cold outside, but actually not too bad in the Beer Garden at The Wheel House thanks to the tent and the fire pits.  We've got it going on in North Beach, don't let the weather fool you.  Oh, and be thankful we are not in upstate New York.  Let's hope everyone up there digs out ok!

Digging in for the first half in order to defend their title, Wheel Deal Sex Appeal held a lead at the half, three points ahead of NOLA Rager Ahoy and four ahead of Riot Penguins.

NOLA Rager Ahoy got off to a very fast start in the second half and used that momentum to slide into first heading into the final.  Two points behind were Riot Penguins, and house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were in third, three points off the pace.

In order to correctly answer the final question, knowledge about the great state of Iowa was key.  Or luck, luck is always a thing.  At any rate, several teams were able to correctly answer our question, and none benefitted more than Riot Penguins.  They were able to move into the lead, with house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal moving into second.  Congrats Riot Penguins and well played all.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points. Followed as closely as you can get was  Why So Serious with 41 points. Wino Combo  was in third place with 39 points.
