The Wheelhouse – Let's Do Trivia - 27 October 2022 – BLURB

Happy Halloween my friends!  Hopefully you've survived your weekend festivities without issue. 

The atmosphere at the Wheel House this week was very nice with the tent in place.  It's cozy, it's warm, and it's going to continue to be a fantastic place to hang out with friends while playing Let's Do Trivia. 

This week we had two new teams, Plane Team and Hey You.  Prior to the halftime question, Hey You held a lead over the others, but their hold on the lead was ruined by the TV series Charmed.  Instead, Wino Combo and Riot Penguins capitalized on their ill-gained knowledge of this show to take a joint lead at the half.  House team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal was chugging along in their wake, only one point off the lead.

At the conclusion of play in the second half, Riot Penguins had sole possession (possession! Happy Halloween!) of the lead, with the house team still one point off the pace.

The final question saw most teams bet the maximum of twenty points, with three teams hitting the answer correctly.  Plane Team were one of those who scored the full twenty, making a move from 6th to 3rd.  Wino Combo also moved up the standings with a correct answer, sliding into 2nd, but it was house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal that made the most of their move up the standings, slipping into first place.  This means there will be a tripled first prize next week of $120.  Well played all and congrats to Wheel Deal Sex Appeal.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points.
