The Wheelhouse – Let's Do Trivia - 06 October 2022 – BLURB

This week we welcomed new friends, old friends, and friends from overseas.  While we were in a welcoming mode, we were also in a giving mode, with a doubled first prize up for grabs.

Making themselves welcomed in the first half, Riot Penguins settled into a tie for the lead with house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal.  Wino Combo ft. Dewey were in third, four points behind the leaders.  Our friends returning from overseas, So You're Saying There is a Chance were fourth, five points off the lead.

The second half of play saw the house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal move into control of first by three points over Riot Penguins.  Wino Combo ft. Saying Dewey and So You're Saying There is a Chance were tied for third, nine points behind the leaders.

The final question asked about state Governors and their longevity in office, but made no provision for time off for good behavior.  A nod to crimes committed while in office?  At any rate, the top two teams crashed out on this question, leaving room for Wino Combo ft. Dewey and So You're Saying There is a Chance to swoop in for the win.  They both took full advantage of the opportunity but found themselves in a tie as a result.

The tie breaker question was hotly contested with both teams giving solid answers, but it was Wino Combo ft. Dewey that won the day and took home first prize.  As they had arrived prior to 6pm, $10 was added to the pot.  Well played all, and congrats to Wino Combo ft. Dewey.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points. Followed as closely as you can get was  Why So Serious with 41 points. Wino Combo  was in third place with 39 points.
