The Wheelhouse – Let's Do Trivia - 11 August 2022 – BLURB

What a beautiful evening we had this last week!  Surely the great weather was the largest factor in our strong turnout, but the massive $120 rollover first place prize probably helped too.  The pot is this high as the house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal has been on a roll lately.

Two of our perennial contenders, Wino Combo and Riot Penguins had strong first half results, with Wino Combo in a 3-point lead.  Relatively new team Nolan's Army were in third at the end of the first half.  House team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were in fifth, a full 12 points off the pace.

Wino Combo still held the lead heading into the final, though only one point clear of Riot Penguins.  Wheel Deal Sex Appeal closed the gap in the standings, moving into third, but were still 8 points off the lead.

The final question was all about movies with Hot in the title, but the hot hand stayed with Wheel Deal Sex Appeal as they scored a full 20 points on the final and nabbed another win.  This means next week we will have a $160 first prize.  Well played all and congrats the house team once again.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points.
