The Wheelhouse – Let's Do Trivia - 28 July 2022 – BLURB

Greetings all, and especially to our new readers of the newsletter.  I don't believe I have ever seen so many new faces and teams as we had this last week.

At the end of the first half of play the house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal found themselves at the top of the leaderboard.  The next four positions were occupied by teams that were new or relatively new to our game.  In order, Gilligan's Island, Sluddy Ducks, Mint Juleps and Not That Lerner Family occupied 2nd through 5th place.

The second half saw the house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal increase their lead over the field while the rest of the top five was filled out in order by Not That Lerner Family, Gilligan's Island, Sluddy Ducks and Beef Wellington.

The final question was all about deserts and two of our teams knew enough about them to cash in big on the final.  Mint Juleps surged from tied for 8th into 2nd, but it was house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal that got the win, adding 20 points to their already large lead heading into the final.  That means we have a rollover pot next week.  Congratulations to the house team, and well played all.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. But if you were in attendance, you know I'm referring to our big theme revolving around our Lunar friend. That's right, many questions dealing with the Moon (and some people with the surname Moon) were giving players a run for their money. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points.
