The Wheelhouse – Let's Do Trivia - 21 July 2022 – BLURB

Despite the forecast of 'stupid hot', the evening become quite pleasant as the evening wore on thanks to a front that moved in.  For those who braved the weather, thank you for coming out.

While no doubt we were all hot, the hottest team of the first half was Sweet and Salty Nuts, holding a 5-point lead over second place Riot Penguins.

The evening cooled in the second half of play, but house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were absolutely on fire in the second half, moving from sixth to second.  Despite their hot play, Sweet and Salty Nuts held the lead, a full 9-points clear of second place.

An unusual mix of cautious betting on the final lead to some interesting plot twists.  Despite scoring zero on the final, B N J moved several spots up the standings.  Riot Penguins also moved up with a score of zero, into second place and good for a $10 house cash prize.  Sweet and Salty Nuts managed to hang on for the win after also scoring zero on the final.  Well played all and congrats to Sweet and Salty Nuts.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points. Followed as closely as you can get was  Why So Serious with 41 points. Wino Combo  was in third place with 39 points.
