The Wheelhouse – Let's Do Trivia - 12 May 2022 – BLURB

April showers bring May flowers, but what about May showers, what do they bring?  This last week they brought out the umbrellas right up until game time, then the weather cleared up and we were able to enjoy a pleasant evening with friends and good cheer.

Enjoying the first half of play more than most was Your Mom, Dear Watson, with Defenestrate Your Heart only a few points off the pace after turning in a perfect first half of play.  How does this happen you ask?  Your Mom, Dear Watson was able to make up the difference in first half points with a perfect half time score.

Defenestrate Your Heart made up for a missing points at the half time break by turning in a perfect second half of play as well, giving them a 6-point lead heading into the final, with Your Mom, Dear Watson in second and house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal in a distant third.

The final question saw many teams make big bets, but only one team connected with the correct answer.  Moving up from dead last to first place on the final, Riot Penguins were crowned champions.  Congrats, and well played all.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. But if you were in attendance, you know I'm referring to our big theme revolving around our Lunar friend. That's right, many questions dealing with the Moon (and some people with the surname Moon) were giving players a run for their money. Completely unplanned, the Moon theme fit as last Thursday was our first time of the season with the tent taken down. We had great weather for it. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Entering the final question , Wheel Deal Sex Appeal held the top spot with 69 (nice) points. Wino Combo were right behind them with 67 points. ...

Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points. Followed as closely as you can get was  Why So Serious with 41 points. Wino Combo  was in third place with 39 points.
