Wheelhouse - Let's Do Trivia! Blurb - 4/14/22

Three Thursdays in a row we’ve had bad weather, or the threat of bad weather, and yet once again the environs for Let’s Do Trivia at the Wheelhouse could hardly be better.  What are you waiting for, come on out and join the nearly 50 people we had last week.

This week the house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal didn’t wait around at all to take a lead and resume their winning ways.  At the half they held a 5-point lead over Sweet and Salty Nuts, with Can You Repeat That Please only two more points behind. 

Second half of play saw the house team increase their lead to 6 points, still ahead of Sweet and Salty Nuts, but other teams couldn’t hold their pace and fell further behind.

The final question saw a frenzy of good, and questionable, betting with good and questionable answers as well.  When the dust settled, house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal found themselves in a tie with Just the Two of Us who moved all the way up from sixth place.  A tie breaker was played, and Just the Two of Us pulled out the win.  Congrats and well played all.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. But if you were in attendance, you know I'm referring to our big theme revolving around our Lunar friend. That's right, many questions dealing with the Moon (and some people with the surname Moon) were giving players a run for their money. Completely unplanned, the Moon theme fit as last Thursday was our first time of the season with the tent taken down. We had great weather for it. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points. Followed as closely as you can get was  Why So Serious with 41 points. Wino Combo  was in third place with 39 points.
