The Wheelhouse – Let's Do Trivia - 28 April 2022 – BLURB

To all who came out last week, thank you.  The sound hasn't been perfect, but with the deck expected to be complete before our next session, sitting outside in the back, with all the extra seating, should be the cure we need.

One team that did not need a cure for anything in the first half was Riot Penguins.  They worked their way into a 5-point lead over house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal.

The second half saw the house team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal rally to work their way into a tie for the lead with Riot Penguins.  Close behind in third place, Pungent and Pulchritudinous was working hard to come up with team names that are tongue twisters while striving for the prize.

The final questions saw fortunes rise and fall as usual.  Riot Penguins made the most of the final, gaining twenty points a setting them up for at least a tie for the win.  House team Wheel Deal Sex Appeal also went all in on the final, but to their misfortune, they must've thought it was opposite day and missed badly.  With this miss, the way was clear for other teams to move into the money.  Your Mom, Watson took advantage of the house team miscue to move into second.

Happy new week trivia players, Have you taken a look in the night's sky recently? How's that Moon looking? If you didn't join us last week at the Wheelhouse for Let's do Trivia, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. But if you were in attendance, you know I'm referring to our big theme revolving around our Lunar friend. That's right, many questions dealing with the Moon (and some people with the surname Moon) were giving players a run for their money. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 1 May 2025

Hello trivia brothers and sisters ! Let's go through our weekly recap of this past Thursday's Let's Do Trivia match at The Wheelhouse Beer Garden . It was a great crowd of 37 players on 10 teams playing for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and our second place prize of $10 Wheel House cash . We had a big theme to most of the questions. We were asking about things to do with siblings, brothers, and sisters. Just like the previous week, this match saw lower scoring than normal in our first half of the game. Coming out of halftime, Raven Lunatics held first place with 35 points.   Wino Combo and Wheel Deal Sex Appeal were tied for second place with 34 points. Dare I say the second half got slightly easier? Points were still dropped but I believe every team got at least a 6 pointer correct in each round. Wheel House - Let's Do Trivia - 17 July 2025

Good day week Trivia teams, Let's do a quick look back to last Thursday night's Let's Do Trivia match at the Wheelhouse.  47 players on 9 teams joined us to beat the heat and beat other teams for the top prizes of $50 Wheelhouse Cash for first place and $10 Wheel House cash for second  place. There wasn't a larger theme throughout the match, but some questions did have an Australian touch to them. There were also a few Bee Gees related questions, even though I would contend they are not Australian and only spent a part of their career down under.  As is usual, most teams had a successful first half of the match. After our Bee Gees halftime question, we had many point totals that were close together in our rankings.  My Personal Favorites  led with 42 points.
